In some album description areas, you will see a 2 digit condition number like "74". The first digit is the cover condition, the second digit is the vinyl condition. Therefore, a condition of "74" means the cover is "7" or Very Good, but the vinyl is "4", or Better than Poor/but below Good. If there is no 2 digit indication of condition, both the cover and vinyl are Good.
The actual (vinyl) record has been visually inspected for scratches and wear, but we cannot listen to all of them. Also, many jazz enthusiasts are very "organized". We have acquired several collections that have inventory stickers a corner of the cover and/or label. We do not attempt to remove them as you will see in our photos.
You will see the "(C)" designation at the end of the album description area on some albums. This means the record was a "Cutout". A cutout refers to a small physical mark or cut on the album cover. It can be a small hole or slit in the album cover, but it does not affect the actual record. These records were "leftovers" produced by the record company and sold at a discount to retailers. Cutouts are priced no higher than "Better than Poor but Below Good" (4) condition, but they could have a "99" condition rating.
